With tremendous support from the City of Mebane and a group of citizens, the Mebane City Trails launched in the fall of 2011. Trails vary in length from 1 mile to just over 4 miles, and will take walkers through various parts of town, typically via well-marked, well-maintained city streets with good sidewalks.
For a look at the trails, see below:
Trail heads are located at City Hall and at the Mebane Arts and Community Center. Everyone is encouraged to use the trails anytime, but also keep an eye open for our organized walking groups, Mebane Walks. You can keep up with the scheduled walking groups by joining the Mebane Walks Facebook page here! Walking is one of the easiest and least expensive ways to keep your heart healthy and weight in check and it’s appropriate for all age groups. We hope you’ll take advantage of our trails!
Sidewalks markings to guide you through the city trails are available, as is a great set of fitness stations inside the Mebane Mini Loop. If you are ever interested in becoming a part of the City Trails project, please contact the Mebane on the Move committee.
